Witnessing in Empathy Days
First Witnessing in Empathy Day took place in October 2020
On Sunday, 25.10.2020 we span a net of small groups from different places, who meditated, exchanged, witnessed and connected in order to make ourselves available for the topic of the Holocaust in a sensitive way. We chose former concentration camps where the energy of the Holocaust is tangible. Each local group was self-organized and set up its own rhythm of meditation and sharing.
On the evening before the local groups met individually to tune in and connect. The day itself (25th October) was embedded in two common Zoom-Calls including all groups to tune-in in the morning and to finish the day in the evening. Thus the local activities connected to a common movement and created a comprehensive, energetic field.
Beforehand, for local organizers and other participants, we offered three Zoom-Calls to prepare, network and build a strong group container. In that way we approached the topic of Holocaust already, in connection with the regional places, as well as we tuned in and invited energy for the Witnessing-in-Empathy Day. During those calls there was space for organizational and structural support for the self-organized realization locally.
The individual local groups built up a trustful space through self-organized physical or virtual meetings during the preparation phase.
Three weeks after the Witnessing-in-Empathy Day there was another Zoom-Call to share experiences and aftereffects.
See "Feedback" to read about the essential experiences of the 40 participants.
